THE LAMP GOT COMPLETED

I COMPETED MY LAMP!!!!!

And then a dragon came and ate it.... -.-

Nahh, Its looking GOOD, as you can see in my last post.
I stuck the light to the aluminium and soldered it to the power pack, but then i noticed that the cord wasn't going through the hole... I had to cut it apart and redo it, but it worked. The wire has been insulated and after almost a whole lesson, it got thewires covered.

ITS DONE!!!! YAY!!!

Today

Today in D.F. my lamp got destroyed by a giant rainbow unicorn...

KIDDING, Today my lamp got pretty much COMPLETED!!! The shrink rap got shrunk and I got to light the torch at least 5 TIMES!!! My lamp light has been cleaned, connected to the lamp frame, soldered to the power pack. The cord has been insulated and stuck to the frame as well. All I need to do is put the cover over the cord

Whats Happened so far...

I haven't been on here for a little while, but not much has happened other than that my lamp base has been cut and sanded with a scroll saw, sander and sand paper and my light has been screwed to the base. My lamp looks really good now and next lesson we are going to start putting the lights onto the lamps.

I will post pictures of my lamp later when I take some.

Workshop start.

So far this week we have had 2 lessons in the workshop. the first lesson, I was obsessed with the idea of paperclips, so I created on out of the wire that we had to draft our ideas. I then figured that if I bent on of the sides into another angle, it could be a lamp. Today, we started bending the aluminium into our lamp shapes. The lamp looks pretty cool to me and I can sit my ipad in the curve of the lamp. The bottom of my lamp was too big to fit into one wood block, so I now have two pieces of jarra gluing together in the workshop.
